9 Best Gaming Chairs with Footrest & Massage

Gaming chairs are an individual thing. Everybody has their own tastes, and no one is going to judge anyone else for their gaming chair.

Ok, we lied; some people will judge you – especially if your chair is no good. For those of us with specific tastes, shopping for a gaming chair can be a hassle. Not only are there a lot of options, but most of them aren’t that good.

Then you probably want one with a footrest and massage option. In this article, we will talk about our favorite gaming chairs that have a footrest and massage feature.

These two features not only make a huge difference when you are gaming for long periods of time but also really help when you’re just using the chair in general.

From better posture to improved comfort, gaming chairs with a footrest and massage feature are the premium in gamer comfort.

Best Gaming Chairs with Footrest & Massage

Here are our favorite gaming chairs with footrests and massage features that are currently on the market right now:

1. Ficmax Ergonomic – Racing Style Gaming Chair

  • Amazingly High Quality
  • Comfortable Massage Function
  • Retractable Footrest

  • Really Expensive
  • It looks Like a Gaming Chair – But a Good One
  • Price/Value Ratio Might Seem Ridiculous to Some Consumers

What can we say about this chair that others haven’t already?

It’s a great gaming chair and it’s a serious piece of equipment.

A footrest might immediately make you think of a recliner or something like that. This dispels that notion.

The Ficmax is a solid, sturdy construction with bolstered yet lightly tufted support and a footrest that is ergonomic and comfortable.

You could easily spend hours in this chair – and that’s the point.

In addition to all kinds of support for a healthy posture and back, you’ve got mobility and movement.

We’re talking swivel base and full-circle turning. You can also adjust the height easily.

The only real holdups we can spot almost immediately are that the chair doesn’t seem well suited to larger people.

If you’re of average build, you should have no issue using this chair whatsoever. In terms of quality, you can’t really beat Ficmax.

So what does the “racing style” in the name mean?

Basically, it means that the chair mimics a sports car in terms of look and feel. It does a pretty good job of this, too.

We imagine it would be good for racing games but don’t let the name fool you.

After all, the chair does have a massage function and you rarely see that in a serious racing game chair.

It’s powered via USB and it is well integrated into the general style of the chair.

What kinds of prices are we talking about here?

Well, all of that quality (and unique set of features) comes at a price. Try $249 as a regular price.

We’ve seen it for cheaper, but you’ve got to be careful with prices that are too cheap.

Like we explained, this is a unique set of requirements for a gaming chair. With that explanation out of the way, you can’t really do better than the Ficmax.

Just don’t expect to get it for very cheap.

2. Nokaxus Gaming Chair – Large Size High-Back Ergonomic Racing Seat with Massager Lumbar Support and Retractable Footrest

  • Amazingly High Quality
  • Comfortable Massage Function
  • Retractable Footrest

  • Really Expensive
  • It looks Like a Gaming Chair – But a Good One
  • Price/Value Ratio Might Seem Ridiculous to Some Consumers

Some chairs come as is, and others give you a little bit of flexibility when it comes to customization. This is one of those chairs.

You can not only add padding to make it more palatable but also you can rely upon it due to the pretty expensive and interesting way it is designed.

Unlike most of the chairs on this list, the Nokaxus employs a lot of metal parts and simple yet effective mechanisms. The footrest alone is a study in minimalistic cool.

Aside from that, the chair does not go minimal in the padding and cushions departments.

The massage lumbar feature is decidedly better on this chair because of this.

The adjustable headrest pillow compliments the otherwise race-car-like style of the chair. Probably the only drawback for some consumers is the overall design.

It is definitely a gaming chair. It’s not radical, but it’s pretty obvious what this chair is for so if you’re worried about it “blending in,” just know that it probably won’t.

In terms of actual things you might want to consider complaining about when it comes to this option, the price might be at the top of the list.

At $209, this chair is a commitment. Still, its high-quality components and excellent craftsmanship make it a serious contender for the best overall on this list.

It really just depends on where your tastes are. Like we said, it is definitely a gaming chair and that coupled with the price point makes it a forbidding prospect.

3. Kinsal – Ergonomic High-Back Large Size Gaming Chair with Massage Function

  • Perfect for Larger, Taller Gamers
  • Really Stylish and Beautiful
  • High-Quality Materials and Flawless Build

  • Expensive
  • Tough to Find
  • Lumbar Massager Can Be Awkward

Check out the Amazon listing

Where the Ficmax might leave taller gamers a little bit uncomfortable, the Kinsal should be perfect.

That’s because it’s designed for them and has all of the awesome features you get with the Ficmax. Plus, can we just add, we really love this design.

There’s something avant-garde about it. It looks like a designer piece and stands out among other gamer chairs.

Whether it is the quilted tufts or the tastefully upholstered leather, the Kinsal Ergonomic High-Back gaming chair really is a cut above the rest.

You’ve got full lumbar support and cushioning to keep you comfortable for hours on end.

The retractable footrest flips out at the drop of a switch and goes back just as quickly.

Again, in terms of overall materials and design, this device favors larger, taller gamers. That’s why we love it so much.

The extra cushioning also helps give it a more substantial appearance over the Ficmax. So, with all of these positives, where does the Kinsal lack?

Well, it’s a bit much for most of us. Sure, it’s stylish and it’s a great gaming chair, but there are other, less conspicuous options out there.

The massage function is located in the lumbar support area of the chair, which means it is quite confined. It is well integrated but perhaps not as prominent as we would like.

And, at $250, this is not a cheap option, either.

The major problem we’ve noticed in our research is that everyone loves Kinsal, but it’s nearly impossible to find them in stock anywhere.

Even so, for the larger, taller gamer, this is the chair you need to buy. There’s no debate on that point.

4. Giantex Massage Gaming Chair – High Back Ergonomic Adjustable Reclining Racing Chair with USB Massage Lumbar Pillow and Footrest

  • Excellent Price Point
  • Good Materials
  • Comfortable Enough

  • Cheap Parts in Places
  • Durability
  • Not for Larger Gamers

Check out the Amazon listing

Not every gaming chair has to be fancy. Some of them just need to get the job done.

That chair is the Giantext Massage Gaming Chair. Everything about this product is adequate, but it’s not going to “wow” you right out of the box.

It’s more of a slow burn. It will grow on you over time and it is never a “bad” purchase. It’s just questionable given some of the other options on this list.

So, what do we have here? An ergonomic, standard gaming chair with moderate stuff pillowing and bolstering for gamers of average size.

It’s not made out of the most durable materials in the world and there are some complaints about that in its many reviews.

This would be forgivable if it wasn’t for the chair’s price at $139.

That’s expensive for what you get. The lumbar massager is standard fare and the footrest actually feels somewhat unstable. Nonetheless, this chair gets the job done and it doesn’t make you question how much you spent on it…at least not immediately.

The biggest question we have about this chair is whether or not it will last as long as some of us might like.

Every gamer is different and some people are a little harder on their equipment than others. Those gamers might want to pick out something a little more durable.

But, if you just need a gaming chair with a footrest and a massager without breaking the bank, the Giantex won’t disappoint.

5. Dowinx Gaming Chair – Ergonomic Racing Style Recliner with Massage Lumbar Support

  • Huge Flanks Really Hug the Gamer
  • Nice, Fluffy Pillows
  • Offers Office Chair Comforts

  • Limited Colors
  • Definitely Not an Office Chair
  • Armrests Make It Feel Smaller Than It Is

Check out the Amazon listing

Have you ever noticed someone as soon as they walked into a room?

That’s called presence – and this Dowinx gaming chair has a lot of it.

We realize this isn’t everyone’s first choice. It’s kind of wild, it’s proudly a gaming chair, it’s kind of expensive, and it’s big.

Yet, for some gamers, this ticks all of the right boxes.

The Dowinx doesn’t spare any expense in any area. You get a lot of everything: Style, comfort, padding, features, and longevity.

We mentioned the price. It comes to a fair $179. Not the cheapest gaming chair out there and not the most expensive one either.

While we love its style, we get that some people will absolutely hate it. There also aren’t many options currently.

There’s a very interesting binary thing going on with the choice we reviewed being purple and the other option being a light pink.

Outside of that, no other color choices.

The chair is a racing chair style design but is has flanks for days. It wraps around you like a bear hug and everything is very integrated and flows.

Do you know how other gaming chairs often look modular in one way or the other? This chair is fully integrated such that it all looks like one big piece of equipment.

Ribbed, cloud-like padding makes this a chair for the long haul, too, as you could easily see yourself gaming or surfing the Internet in this piece. We really like this, but again, we have to reiterate the downsides: Not many design choices in terms of color, it doesn’t blend in with other furniture at all, and oddly confining armrests.

6. EDWELL – Ergonomic Gaming Chair with Headrest and Lumbar Massage Support

  • Awesome Choice for the Price
  • Sleek Design
  • It looks Like an Office Chair

  • Spartan Padding
  • On the Smaller Side
  • Not All Materials Feel High Quality

Check out the Amazon listing

You’re probably looking at this chair and thinking:

What makes this special? Well, you see, we recognize that some of us do other things aside from the game.

This gaming chair recognizes that, too.

That’s why it would look perfect in your home office or elsewhere. It’s got a serious, professional air about it that has nothing to do with gaming. Admittedly, it is a gaming chair.

Don’t get us wrong – we get it. It’s just so appealing on an “adult” level. Whatever that might mean to you, to us, it means that the chair isn’t offensive to the senses in any way. In terms of actually using it in the game, you get 360-degree movement, an adjustable height base, durable parts, and comfortable if somewhat spartan cushions.

The leather feels somewhat tight but, other than that, it’s a pretty supple, soft texture. EDWELL bills this as a racing chair and it has those design elements but the lumbar massage support, comfortable, ergonomic headrest support, and footrest that you are looking for in this segment. Price-wise, you are looking at a reasonable outlay of $139.

One of the biggest complaints that we have seen with this chair, like some others on this list, is that it might not be comfortable for taller and/or larger gamers.

That’s a bummer. It’s also surprising since you would expect manufacturers to try to build something that captures the sweet middle ground. Even so, the EDWELL is just not as accommodating as other models.

7. Massage Office Chair Ergonomic Desk Chair Recline Computer Chair with Lumbar Support and Footrest

  • Multiple Massage Settings
  • Premium Look
  • Versatile

  • Only Comes in Black
  • Boring Design
  • Not a Gaming Chair

Check out the Amazon listing

We couldn’t make this list without having a couple of heavy nods to the quality furniture out there that is PERFECT for gaming…but not necessarily a gaming chair.

This piece is just one of those.

This is a serious executive chair that not only gives you all of the support and features you want in a gaming chair but much, much more.

Looking like something ripped directly from a Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer, this black leather captain’s chair will have you plotting to take over the world.

Or at least help you comfortably game, watch movies, or engage in productivity tasks.

The first thing you will notice when you see it is that the chair has a premium appearance. This extends to the feel of it as well.

But it will also really surprise you. How so? It is only $149.

If you’ve been looking for the perfect office chair and gaming chair, can you really do better than this? The design is completely inoffensive and tasteful. It has all of the features you want. And it comes at a price you can afford.

There’s got to be something wrong with it, right?

Not really, because it only gets better. It has a really robust massage feature with multiple zones and settings. If you’re serious about the massaging feature, this is the chair for you.

Why isn’t this our number one choice, then?

It’s not a gaming chair. It has a lot in common with them, but it’s more of an office or executive chair.

Still, it shouldn’t be relegated to that category when it fulfills so many requirements.

Particularly, we have to highlight the massaging function. It is the best on this list and gives you more options than you probably knew existed.

If that’s a really important feature for you, you need to check this chair out.

8. YOURLITEAMZ – Racing Gaming Chair with Footrest and Massage Lumbar Pillow

  • Great Massage Feature
  • Reasonable Price
  • Memory Foam Cushions

  • Design is Basic
  • All Plastic Everything
  • No Head Pillow

Check out the Amazon listing

The prismatic design on this chair might make you think you’re grappling with something cutting edge but, trust us; this is your standard gaming chair.

Standard in that it has what we were looking for in gaming chairs in this article.

But special because the combination of memory foam and its particularly potent lumbar massager makes this stand out in a crowded field.

It doesn’t quite encase you in its arms like some of our faves on this list.

Yet, it does have generous armrests that allow for larger body types. Avoid that kind of claustrophobia is important – especially in a gaming chair.

The memory foam is the real draw for the cushions here as it is both malleable and really durable. It will mold to your body and then reset itself anew.

This is such a step above normal foam that the advantages can’t be understated.

You’ve got full, 360-movement here and a swivel pedestal that is made to be mobile. Some of the things we didn’t like about this chair include its overall design and the otherwise cheap materials it uses.

The memory foam is the highlight here and it probably costs us a lot in terms of overall quality. There’s a lot of plastic which tends to make the chair feel unstable and cheap.

We couldn’t help but worry about breaking it. Even so, it’s probably a great chair for most gamers – PC or otherwise.

It is accommodating enough without being terribly expensive. Yet we can’t help but think you can spend that $129 on something else on this list and get a better result at the end of the day. Naturally, that’s up to each buyer to decide but, when you weigh the basic features, we have with this chair, the only real reason to choose it is that the cushions are comfortable.

Even so, you can’t really go wrong with any pick on this list and, from that perspective, this chair is just fine.

9. Pulaski Power Recliner

  • The Most Comfortable Chair on This List
  • Supple Leather You Won’t Find Anywhere Else
  • So Many Accessories

  • It’s Huge
  • It’s Expensive
  • It’s Not EXACTLY a Gaming Chair

Check out the Amazon listing

You’re probably thinking to yourself: A recliner?

Yes, a recliner, but not just any recliner: A Pulaski Power Recliner.

How’s that for a gaming chair?

For one, this chair is amazing.

Every feature you could possibly want is right here. In fact, there’s even a full-body massager that you can get for it.

If you think you want to sleep in your gaming chair, then look no further. It has multiple attachments and accessories to make your life easier.

But the major selling point here is the fact that the recliner is just so decadently comfortable.

You will literally never want to sit in anything else again.

One caveat here: It is perfect for console gamers and portable gamers. PC gamers might find this a bit much. Another problem is that it is huge, heavy, and expensive.

If you wanted something subtle and restrained, well, that’s not this chair. It’s an investment in time and money and it’s not going to move once you set it down. Yet, if you need a way to reward yourself, you can’t really do any better than this chair. It’s got everything you want and it is way more than just a gaming chair.

Now the really bad news: It costs $599. See what we mean by “serious piece of furniture”?

Yet, maybe you could use this as a lesson in turning a negative into a positive.

After all, this is real furniture and if you are worried about shelling out that kind of dough, you can comfort yourself with that.

This isn’t a pure gaming chair…this is a chair that you game in…or live in, for that matter.

We admit: Finding a gaming chair with both a massage function and a footrest is not that easy. Finding one that works within your budget is even harder.

That’s because the more features you add, the more expensive things become.

Even so, we hope that this article has given you a good overview of what’s out there.

And what you can afford. What we recommend is that you get the best option for your budget that fits your needs.

Quality definitely should matter more than anything else, so keep that in mind if you find a price that is too good to be true.

Trust your instincts and you’ll find the right gaming chair for you. Best of luck!
